Construction on the interior of the existing building is moving forward quickly to complete by the 22nd when teachers return to the school. Painting began today and cleanup is progressing. The new exterior door frame is installed in the front room and the exterior steps footer is installed. The landing and canopy is to be ready for school start on the 27th. Floor tile work begins by the end of the week as well as ceilings.
The catwalk installation is approximately half complete.
Roofing is to start next week for the areas nearest the existing school and over the new exterior corridor. The mechanical contractor is installing roof drains in preparation for the roofer to begin.
The mason has been concentrating on the areas impacted by the existing school interior work and will move to the east wall of the new building as soon as those areas are complete.
Ductwork has arrived and is stored on site for installation soon. This will be the trunk ducts to be installed for conditioning the space while we wait for additional funds to resume construction.
