Thanks extended to those participating in the Bowie Homes Tour - after which approximately 60 people went on the "Hard Hat Tour." It was fun to host the tour of the auditorium, we received a lot of great feedback. Mary Nusser Here's Hugh's update: Masonry progress continues with the exterior facing block about half complete on the east side of the building. The glass block wall area in the building front is coming along and the recital hall is near completion of its masonry interior walls. The east fire stair is in progress. The interior face block has been installed in portions of the lobby so interior finishes are beginning to be visible and the rear wall of the main auditorium has begun. Masonry should complete in October. The steel erector continues to install the catwalk and should complete that in a week or so. Its a lot of little pieces very high up in the air so progress is slow. The electrician has begun to install panels in the electric room. As soon as the roof is in place over that room the switchgear can be installed and we should be to schedule the BGE power cut over to the new facility in the next few weeks. The roof installation will begin this week which will allow the mechanical contractor to set the rooftop units in the near future and begin the exterior duct installation. Hugh Reams
